Premature grey hair is something that runs in my family. I’ve inherited it from my mom’s side. My mom never had an issue with her grays and embraced them. Unlike her, I choose not to grey gracefully! I’ve been coloring these grays for almost 10 years now and it’s not easy or cheap. The main issue I have is that my hair grows fast and you can start seeing my roots in like a week. I try to last as long as I can before visiting the salon to save money and to save my hair from being over-processed. I really dislike seeing those gray hairs peek out along my hairline though, so I’ve been looking for a way to hide the grays in between coloring.
Luckily, I found Gray Away. Gray Away Temporary Root Concealer Spray is a spray you can use in the privacy of your home to cover up gray roots. It’s easy to use. It has a pinpoint applicator that makes it easy to spray it exactly where you need it. It dries really quickly, is sweat resistant and washes out when you shampoo your hair.
I have dark brown hair so I bought the one for Black/Dark Brown hair and it worked very well for me. I was not sure if it would work on my hairline, but it got the job done. It covered my grays well, and it looked natural. I wish I knew about this product earlier.
Gray Away is available in 4 shades, Blonde, Auburn, Light Brown and Dark Brown. They also have a Root Touch-Up Quick Stick that provides ultra-targeted gray root coverage at the hairline and eyebrows. It a dual-ended stick that features an angled tip for precise application and a sponge tip for effortless blending. Both products are very affordable. I found the spray at Ulta Beauty. It’s available both online and in-store.
